Is HN Slow?


I've been experiencing slowness loading pages and replying to comments. Given the recent outage, I wondered if they're migrating off of their backup system, or if they're still on it an experiencing slowness because it's not as optimized.

Of course, I love how lightweight and fast the site is normally, and how little downtime it has overall!

Intermittently, though I noticed this for the past month or so, before the hardware failure outage and migration to AWS.

If you logout it'll be suddenly fast. Cache hits > live computed view.
