Low level programming forums and communities?


Hello all,

I’be only recently gotten into low level programming, but I was curious if there are any online communities that exist for it?

I really enjoy going into forums and seeing showcases and discussion (one of the best parts of HN!), so I was curious if there is anything specific like that.

EDIT: I should add conferences are cool too. I am aware of HandMade Seattle already, which I think is kinda the peak one, unless you do specific lang conferences like RustConf or CppCon.

How low level? Assembly?

Fortran could be considered lower level than Matlab or R for scientific computing. There is an active forum https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/.

For Assembly and system programming I recommend retrocomputing and homebrew computer forums, such as comp.os.cpm or Hackaday.io
