Recommendations for Good Developer Conferences?

I would love to get more involved in developer conferences, meet new folks, and learn from them. It's really difficult to find these opportunities though. Do you have any recommendations on where I can find them or specific conferences I should attend?

You might like Handmade Seattle[1], a conference for system programmers, but also, the community behind it, Handmade Network[2].

If you're close to MN, the MinneBar conference put on by MinneStar is the best I've ever been to. MinneStar is a nonprofit supporting the Minnesota tech scene, so it avoids some of the commercialistic trappings of many other conferences I've attended...

I missed this year tho :/

FOSDEM in Brussels. It has like 20 parallel tracks, so statistically, there "have" to be some good presentations, and there are.

The ones I’m looking forward to most are KubeCon/CloudNativeCon (https://events.linuxfoundation.org/kubecon-cloudnativecon-no...) and the Python at Scale Summit (https://www.pythonatscale.com/).

Strange Loop is the holy grail imho but I’ve not attended (yet). Lots of very bright minds.

SoCraTes in Soltau, Germany is a great experience. It is about Software Craft and Testing.

It’s an unconference held at a hotel that is in a very rural location. People are very welcoming and social. I went in 2017, learned a lot, and had a great time.
