So i tried duckduckgo and it was worse than google. Is google really that bad?

I would say that DDG is my daily driver, filling back to !gm for maps (almost always) and !gi for images (occasionally).Few and very far between are my forays into !g (google search)

Can you define "bad" so we know what's at stake here?(I feel like the first one is about quality of search results, whereas the second one might be more about ethics.)
