Are there alternative TLDs in the spirit of .dev?

Hypothetical: some software dev wants to pick a domain for their professional web presence, but this dev finds Google's stewardship of th .dev tld distasteful.

Are there alternatives which communicate something similar, but are managed by more neutral entities? Or I suppose just different entities representing different values.
