Dropshipping?

I recently found out about this stuff or business called dropshipping. I wanted to know if there are any folks here who do it or have done it and how they research products to sell. Is it a worthy and rewarding gig as many say it is on social media? What are the challenges and opportunities?

Platforms don't like dropshipping, so you could get banned or bad feedback/charge backs. especially for long ship times.

Also, competitors can come in quickly so if you don't have a differentiated product good luck.

margins will be small and probably shrink due to competition.

In the current economic environment, discretionary income is shrinking.

with all that said if you want to create a social media account around honestly reviewing social media viral products you could create a "business" that monetizes with affiliate marketing and/or drop shipping. make sure your disclosing that fact. I would personally niche into products I actually wanted to buy.

Then you can always sell the product on ebay after you've reviewed it.

If you want to create a successful business, you should focus on creating value, not extracting money.

I have a friend who has been doing this for almost twenty years at this point, from his own website since before Amazon really took off -- don't be misled into thinking it's at all a new thing.

Dropshipping is not new and is completely overly saturated. The only people making money from it are people charging courses for it which is a scam.

Dropshipping doesn't work at all, just build a real business.
