How to Find Interesting Papers?

There's so much published. What approaches work for identifying interesting papers?

If you have a subject in mind, search top ranking institutions for experts in the field at the faculty web site. Check their papers and for the ones that look interesting, read the introduction for an overview. There will be dozens of references to other papers and you'll be set for an endless rabbit hole.
