What is your reason leaving the previous company?
Health destroyed by stress. I can be proud of some things we did; but looking back on it i should've chosen "Life" over "work" a lot more often.
Too much process, too many meetings, too little real work.
Being promoted to middle management.
The two biggest reasons were severe burnout and private equity acquisition. I could see the company "tightening the belt", so I knew I had to leave before the cuts come. I kind of want to strike out on my own, and I'm not sure how to do that, but I guess I'll figure it out.
My old manager was tech who eventually moved into management. She's very good at organizing things and working with the tech team. Her replacement came from a professional project management background and was a huge micro-manager.
The company decided to focus on one market and hired many people. Due to that I stopped doing interesting research and development but more boring and easy source code pissing, with very little freedom and responsibilities.
Boredom. It's always boredom. Every time.
Got invited to work directly for my client with a better salary, more vacation and more opportunities in general.
Got an offer that doubled my salary.
I was the only developer.
