Which country/city are you most bullish on?

Question

My partner and I are looking settle down and start a family. Unfortunately, we've been priced out of our city (Toronto). Consequently, we're looking for alternatives...Which country and/or city should we look at? Or, in other words, which place are you most bullish about for the future?Ideally this place will be climate-resilient, moderately safe, some what fun, and have good schools (appreciating that some of these things may be mutually exclusive).Additional context: remote/tech workers, late 20s, Canadian passports.

I highly recommend the CAR (Central African Republic). Yeah, it's perpetually at war, but the cultural diversity and food and opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new nation, oh my goodness! And as a Canadian family with kids you'd be highly Valued. The gun violence might scare you, but it's nowhere near as dangerous as the U.S.A. since there are no white supremacists. You can even get a quality education online via Starlink if the local schools don't have the curriculum you desire. Bill Gates likely has investments in the region so you know it's ideal.

Anchorage, Alaska. Probably will not be hugely affected by climate changes, strategically placed for transport logistics, and already has a large population by Alaska standards, so there is a fair amount of inertia already.They also have a "resource extraction" tax credit, and I'm really hoping someone will open a server farm and say they're extracting the cold.

I was inspired to ask this question by going back through the most recent Bill Gate's AMA.
Asked: "Which developing countries are you most optimistic about?"
His reply: "Some of the so called LMIC (Low Middle Income) countries have huge promise - Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Indonesia. In Africa it is important for Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria and Ethiopia to succeed. Ethiopia was doing well until the civil unrest so hopefully they can get past that. Some of the smaller countries are doing well but we need the big ones to also do well."

Nigeria seems pretty promising to me over the medium term, Lagos in particular mostly for it's size. Large population of dynamic young people with internet access. Lots of cool stuff coming out of there.

Think local.. Guelph, Ottawa, Kingston but work global (remote).You should probably try to price your way into Toronto somehow. The place is exploding as a post covid tech hotspot.
