Anyone else having problems closing Alibaba Cloud account?

I like to evaluate different cloud providers. I was happy enough with Alibaba up until the time I decided to close my experiments and close my account.

There is a "Close account" option under account security settings but choosing this option shows a wait-spinner that just seems to hang forever.

Any suggestions?

BTW, for all cloud providers: it should be easy to use and discontinue services!
