I would like your insight regarding this marketing tactic and if it's a good or bad idea. I am using my own money to payout. Currently capped at $100 a month and divide it out among the users on my platform who chooses to participate. As I payout, they will find it's legit and tell others. No one can game the system as it takes way more effort than what the payout is worth, few dollars a month. I figured this would be a better use of my money than advertising into the void. The main purpose of my site is to find a job, job management, get paid each month for doing so.
If paying people to search for a job was worthwhile, then indeed/linkedin/etc would be doing it. Adding ".. but with crypto" to the end of that does not change anything.
I appreciate the hustle and I like people growing to become more than they are - but maybe this isn't the one. Good luck my man.
A better application, in my opinion, would be to create a matchmaking market.
From the view of the job seeker, they would see a list of jobs sorted by how good of a match they are for the job, and they would be presented with some crypto incentive for interviewing for the job (proportional to how good the match is).
Same view for the hiring company - candidates sorted by quality match with some crypto incentive for interviewing the candidate.
From the matchmaker point of view, they would wager some crypto amount that a candidate is a good fit for a job.
If the candidate is interviewed and doesn’t get the job, the wagered amount is paid out to the company and candidate. If the candidate is hired, the company pays a commission distributed to all matchmakers in proportion to their wager.
This is actually a very nice usecase for distributed decision making because you have binary outcomes with discrete reward values.
