Which virtual phone number service do you recommend?


For security reasons I want to add a second phone number (for Telegram, signing up for services etc.)

Which service do you recommend? I know Twilio, but they are doing way more now than just phone numbers and I am afraid they cancel my account for no reason or not enough traffic.

"Virtual" phone numbers won't work for signups with many security conscious service providers like banks.

Personally, I use a spare/old phone with this instead: https://www.ultramobile.com/paygo/

I’ve been using Grasshopper for years and it’s quite good. Though it’s probably a bit pricey if your use case is a simple throw away number. Might be worth digging around their pricing options though.

The Onoff app is cool

twilio won't cancel your account but some of their numbers are blacklisted/already used on a bunch of major websites

Twilio works well. Just buy a number and forward txt msg to your phone. Never had an issue with low volume.
