Freelancers in EU, best bank to get paid in USD?

To my fellow freelancers who live in the EU: What's the best bank to get paid in USD? I live in Germany and currently use Revolut, which works fine. But I don't particularly like the company and the app experience. I'm planning to switching to Wise, even though they are more expensive.

Do you have any recommendations?

In the German expat community, Wise is indeed well-known and often recommended.

But what's with that name change? A few years ago they went from TransferWise to Wise. That seems like such a generic name, and now in that same community you see so many people say thing like "Wise (ex-TransferWise)", and here in the comments as well.

I thought about how much of a bad idea this name change was years ago when it happened, and the still ongoing disambiguation when mentioning it makes me feel that I was right...

Wise Borderless account. You get US account details to give your client and can transfer to your local currency at near perfect rates. I wasted thousands of dollars by not moving to that system sooner.

TransferWise. Except they renamed it Wise at some point. Zero bother and cheap as far as I can tell (costs get buried in exchange rates on some of these things).

I've used Wise for this and have had no complaints.

How come you don't like Revolut?

I’ve been using Wise too. It works fine.
