That said, after spending a pretty good chunk of the last two years not dealing well with my own emotional states (in reaction to COVID, the lockdowns, my mother passing away, etc.) and not doing much work on the company, I've gotten really re-energized and re-focused for the past month or so and have started getting things done again. There is still way more work to be done than there are hours in the day to do it, but I feel good about getting back in gear and seeing some forward motion.
Larger clients/customers do enough business where they may be able to get ahold of someone if there's a problem, or even a window into new features, policies, etc.
If we're lucky, small business owners may get an underwhelming newbie account rep or support drone who reads from script. All too often, we get a chatbot, "automated support," or in the case of Google, nothing at all.
