G Suite alternative due to legacy ending?

Gmail is ending its G Suite legacy soon, and I've set up my entire family on there with a custom domain. The cheapest option $6 (USD, presumably) / month / account is not affordable as by now we are already 8 users on our domain (and more might be coming!).

What's your experience with other email providers? I'm looking into something less expensive so I'm undecided between Fastmail and Tutanota (already have the free version).

What are your thoughts? Any experience with these providers with your own domain?

Moved from Gmail to Fastmail in 2016, and it's been an absolute joy since. To me, it's a shocker people would pay for Gmail: If they're going to pay, why not get a mail service that is actually good?

A big thing Fastmail didn't support when I first signed up that they do now is mixed tiers of users, so you can having those really cheap additional accounts for the kids, even if you need a beefier plan for yourself.

Purelymail.com and Migadu.com are the two options that I see recommended a lot, outside of Fastmail. It just depends on your needs. I like both a lot.
