Is HN search broken for you?
My searches do not come up with anything sometimes.
Over the years I've noticed that there are times when the search's index is missing recent items (like from the past few days to a week or so). Recent stuff that matches your search terms isn't there, but older stuff is. It's probably undergoing maintenance and running off its long-term archive to remain available.
