If you have previously used Chargebee, then I'd love to hear about your experience.
We decided on Chargebee because we wanted to avoid building our own subscription management. Even with something like Stripe subscriptions/recurring payments our use case, we would've had to build a lot of the functionality that Chargebee includes out of the box. We also wanted some control over payment processing and taxes which is why we avoided alternatives like Paddle.
We've really enjoyed Chargebee so far and the support team has been great. There are a few rough edges but we were able to work around them fine. For example, we have some custom handling around license assignment/delegation, so we can't really take advantage of the self-service portal for customers, but that's ok because we plan to create a portal that's more application-specific anyway.
The pricing is relatively competitive compared to the other alternatives out there. If you're part of AWS Activate or a similar program you might be able to receive credits towards your plan too.
Happy to discuss anytime if you have questions about our experience. My contact info is on our website under "Who We Are" (Josh Groves).
