What do you hate about Slack?

Hi HN! I'm researching a startup idea and would love to hear about your experiences using slack and what you hate about it

I dislike being interrupted randomly (so I don&rsquo;t leave Slack running, even in do not disturb mode). I dislike how bloated it is, and I distrust it (as I do Zoom, so I only run it from the browser). I dislike that OSS projects choose it vs open alternatives. I rarely find what I&rsquo;m looking for when searching.

Threads suck.. They suck a lot.If you're in a thread and get tagged in another thread then you jump there. Now good luck finding the thread you were originally in. Tabbed threads would work a treat.If each thread spawned a new tab, that would work. Main channels view, and each thread is just a tab. We live in a browser and an IDE, tabs are easy.

The client software is SLOW. Just typing in it is unpleasant.
