I am wondering, what is the next step in the career path of ex-Google engineers?

Is there maybe even public data about this somewhere?

This is just a sample of those who left in April and publicly shared their plans. Also lots of "taking a long break", "going sailing", "retired", "traveling", "riding bike across the continent", etc.

Interesting, so far there are 22 upvotes but no answers yet :D

Maybe we need to gather the observations ourselves? Maybe someone has access to Linkedin navigator and can query for people where the past job was Google?

E.g. I know that both Clemens Mewald (PM) and Michael Piatek (TL) transitioned from Google to Databricks.

I have quite a few friends that are ex googlers. Most left to go do their own thing. Usually a startup idea they wanted to pursue or a long sabbatical or some combination of the two.
