Why does Microsoft keep answers.microsoft.com up?

I have never seen any useful responses from so called "Microsoft Support" people. Why does Microsoft keep this up? Are they paying these people to give completely generic and irrelevant answers to customers?

Personally, not only I have ever seen only very few useful answers[1], I have seen many deceiving or simply false ones.

I believe that most if not all people answering are (established or wannabe) MVP's:

https://mvp.microsoft.com/en-US/pages/what-it-takes-to-be-an...

that try to gain "points" or "medals" (to become MVP or to remain one or become a highly valued one or whatever other metric) by being active on the platform.

Whether the answer is accurate and resolves the issue/question asked or it doesn't, it seems like totally irrelevant, most answers are canned/pre-fabricated and usually revolve around formatting/reinstalling OS/updating (no matter what the actual question is about).

[1] and these - usually - are pointers to tutorials/threads on other non-official Microsoft sites/forums

It's like why they publish "troubleshooters" that shoot about as well as those Stormtroopers in Star Wars.

(To be fair I've found the network and audio troubleshooters do work about 20% of the time.)
