What benefits does your Seed/Series A startup provide?


Throwaway to collect unbiased opinions. My employer is early stage. Since we're hoping to raise some funding soon, it is time to establish a competitive set of benefits to attract candidates. I have a few data points, but I know you all have more. I was hoping you would share the following --

- Size of company / funding round

- Current benefits package

- Desired benefits package

- Any other comments, thoughts, or anecdotes you would like to share

- Series A

- No 401K match, "unlimited" PTO, $1K / year learning budget

- I don't join startups for the benefits, prefer to have generous equity refreshers, decent base and most importantly, strong business growth

Here's a datapoint to get started:

- ~8M Seed Stage

- 4% 401k match (through Guideline), Anthem Platinum PPO (CA), 10 days PTO + Xmas->New Year + federal holidays. $100 monthly in donation matching -- al managed via Gusto. $250/year in accessories via Expensify
