Many electric cars launch this year, is anyone making charging networks?


Many electric cares are launching this year, including electric versions of the most popular cars in America, the pickup truck.

The current, non-Tesla charging networks that are out there are spotty at best, and often broken at worst.

While everyone wont be immediately switching, is there any company out there who is preparing to launch a charging network to supply the incoming demand for electric chargers?

Electrify America is slowly working on their L3 (high speed) network. Have heard mixed reviews so far. ChargePoint is out there but it’s mostly L2 (medium speed).

Have to remember as well that most people leave the house with a “full tank” of electricity. You aren’t charging on the road so much unless it’s a road trip.

though only a small pilot project for now, the unlocking of the Supercharger network is a significant move for any electric car related aspect, so soon any EVs of every company can charge from Tesla Supercharger network
