- first, document everything, keep private notes on any bullying interaction, you'll need examples for any step down the road.
- then I'd talk to them 1:1, ask them if they are aware of how their behavior affects you
- if they are smart, they'll say something in the lines of "oh, sorry bro, I didn't know it bothers you" and hopefully stop
- if this continues or they stop for a while then resume, check if you have any peers that might back you up.
- after you have that, talk to your manager before you talk to HR. HR's sole purpose is to protect the company, not you.
- if this doesn't work out and you can do an internal transfer to another team, that might be the best option
- looking for another job is also on the table of course
- if you can't don't want to switch teams / find another job, and your manager wasn't able to help you, talk to HR.
