Good places to find work as a technical writer?
I like writing and would love to contribute more of my time to writing technical documentation, blog posts, etc. Are there any good places where I can find such jobs?
My team at Daily is actually hiring for this, although I don't see the ad on the site yet (https://www.daily.co/jobs#open-positions)
We're distributed and largely async. My day to day work includes creating demos with our APIs and writing technical blog posts about them, helping maintain our docs, and helping other teams write about what they're working on. I'd been interested in technical writing for a long time, but was hesitant to apply for any of these kinds of roles because I thought it might mean giving up engineering to just write about other people's code. What drew me to this particular role is knowing that I was going to be programming as well as writing. It's been great so far, recommend checking it out if you're interested in that kind of work.
Check out your local chapter of STC. The Society for Technical Communication has a job bank, but I think you need to be a member to access. Local chapters often share jobs without membership.
We offer this as a service at Ritza[0]. Feel free to reach out. We are hiring.

Can't say about blog posts, since I don't know of any company that has blog writers on staff, but all popular SaaS apps these days are building out their developer APIs and always looking to hire technical writers for their docs.
Write your own blog with good articles about how to do things with software that you like, then get paid via affiliate links (ethical as long as you fully disclose).
Reddit.com/hireawriter can be a good source for leads.
I think you can check Oreilly media.
