What are some underrated websites/apps and what do you use them for?

I'm curious - What are some underrated websites/apps and what do you use them for?
I run a website and weekly newsletter (Insanelyusefulwebsites.com) and I'm looking for some recommendations to feature.

MS Wordpad. I use it for quick notes, logs, writing drafts, etc. It is small, simple, unpretentious, incredibly good at what it does, and has been around forever. I'm not much a Windows fan, but I have not found anywhere anything similar that I can like more than Wordpad.
