What are your tips for using Jira effectively?

Jira's a complicated animal with many moving parts. What have you learned about working with it that has made you more effective?Or, if you don't use Jira, same question but for your alternative.

I&rsquo;d love to find a way to quickly prioritize stories in the backlog- tab to highlight the next story, &ldquo;5&rdquo; to rate it as medium priority, tab to move to the next one&hellip;I&rsquo;d also love to find a way to see recent comments on stories directed toward me- and then a way to respond. I can search through all Jira tickets that @-mention me, but there doesn&rsquo;t seem to be a way to clear the comment from my list as soon as I reply.

I loathe working with Jira but I have to.
However, I must acknowledge that they developed really nice and fast iOS and MacOS (with Catalyst IIRC) apps. So if you have to deal with Jira on MacOS, give their app a try, it’s worthy.
