Where is the programming language ladder of awareness essay?

Some years ago there was an essay which described a developer's perspective as they learned more languages.

It was represented as a ladder, whereby more experienced developers could see their level and the levels (languages) below them.

I thought it was Paul Graham, but now I cannot find it.
