Added Yubikey to Google account and Chrome clears cookies weekly

Question

Ever since I added a Yubikey to my Google account, Chrome has been clearing all my cookies weekly. I have to login to every single website again and again.Anyone else experienced this?I dual boot Linux/Win11 and use profiles in Chrome for work and personal. It clears cookies in all profiles.I've tried to delete/recreate the Chrome profiles and again login to all websites but the issue persists. Just now it cleared everything again.The only extension I use is uBlock Origin (with a bunch of whitelisted websites and this list doesn't get erased when the cookies are erased).

Is Chrome clearing your cookies, or is Google invalidating them and pushing you to re-authenticate?It seems wonky that Chrome would be going out of its way to delete stored cookies separate from their expiry timer, but much more plausible that Google is invalidating session tokens on the server side and making you re-authenticate.

I have been using yubico with chrome for the past 5 years and not encountered an issue like this. Check your browser settings as I believe there might be a policy in chrome to delete cookies after a period or upon exit.Otherwise maybe contact yubico support or open a ticket on the Google chrome forums, they provide pretty useful advice.

Not that a negative answer is very useful, but to at least start the convo: I use Yubikeys and Titan keys with Chrome on OS X and Ubuntu linux and don't experience this.

I have an issue across many of my google accounts and browsers where google (or the browser) seems to invalidate(or corrupt) the cookie. sometimes I've only been able to relogin by going into the browser and deleting all google cookies.
