What Happened to Covid Mutation?
I haven't heard about a new variant since Omicron. Has there just not been one that could compete with it yet? Could this be the "last variant" like people thought it might be?
I think the media figured out that most people are tired of hearing about it, so now they're focusing on keeping people afraid with news about Russian and Ukraine
There is no guarantee but between so many people having been vaccinated or having had it or both there is less opportunity for a new variant than there was.
People stopped over-reacting to covid because that kind of response started becoming way too expensive
As dsp linked, a variant of Omicron known as BA.2 has become dominant in some countries and is ramping up in NY.
