I'm really surprised, see so important theme unanswered. Ok, will be the first.

So to be honest, I could not remember books with exactly this direction, but I could list few books, very important for this.

1. Old, and in modern life, some parts need to view with humor, but still works: How to Win Friends and Influence People b y Dale Carnegie

2. Very deep scientific introduction, with huge number of links to additional sources (humor, that Kotler is not marketologist, but book is most complete resource on marketing, I've seen in my life). Marketing Management, by Philip Kotler and Kevin Lane Keller.

3. Very interest new view on obvious things. The Innovator’s Dilemma: The Revolutionary Book that Will Change the Way You Do Business.

4. Have not read, but seen in recommendations. Customers for Life by Carl Sewell, Paul B. Brown

5. Very good book, on how ask questions about your product/service, to get maximum information. The Mom Test: How to talk to customers & learn if your business is a good idea when everyone is lying to you by Rob Fitzpatrick

Dear Client by Bonnie Sieglier. Its marketed towards those working with creative types like graphic designers, but I think it's applicable to all.
