Quirky Hardware Setups?


any interesting hardware setups?

For example my laptop's boot drive is empty, I boot off of an external/portable usb ssd always. This lets me boot into my setup on any computer (useful for connecting to PC with gpu when I need it), but its annoying to keep a usb drive constantly connected.

Would love to hear more things like this.

I do not use smartphones, intentially. I spread my internet activities between several laptops, working pc and a dumbphone which, I swear, does not support any websites except HN. I need no things needed from apps, but once I've needed one to get 300bux as coronavirus support from our lovely govt, I used friend's. I fear I will be forced to get a smartphone but I stay strong in my resist. For travelling I have Nokia 8810 it has 4g, gps and youtube. The last smartphone I had was Android 2 but the v2 apps were not so hostile for me.
