Are there any startups looking to solve the problem of war?

That is, not how to _win_ a war, but how to _prevent_ war, or how to prevent it from ending us all, or similar.

I figure it sounds ridiculous, but... any more ridiculous than war?

I could imagine that, if we asked The Great AI in the Sky, that it could have told us a solution that would have prevented this most recent war (the one taking all the headlines currently because of all the white victims) -- Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The Great AI in the Sky would probably say something like:

US objectives met:

  - maintains ability to act with near-total impunity around the world
  - further burnishes its reputation as benevolent leader of the world
  - places some constraints on Russia

Russia objective met:

  - security concerns addressed adequately enough

Ukraine objective met:

  - civilians not needlessless slaughtered
  - country/cities/industries not flattened

Europe objective met:

  - uninterrupted time to continue navel-gazing

And then maybe some solutions:

  - Solution 1 (Amazon's choice)
    - Ukraine neutrality
    - whatever else
  - Solution 2
    - Ukraine neutrality
    - some other whatever else
  - Solution 3
    - WarGames (get popcorn)

I don't see what this hypothetical AI is adding. These options area already mapped out easily by humans.

The challenge is still getting any of the parties to agree to them.
