Why doesn't Ukraine give attacking Russian troops access to Starlink?
Wouldn't this allow the Russian troops to find out what is really happening and make it more likely they will stop their advance and/or surrender?
But what is really happening? According to Russia they have taken Kherson, yet western media is quoting it is still contested. Similarly for the Russian army casualties - figures ranging from 500 - 5000 - 20000. Ukrainians seem to believe they are winning this war, yet Russia seems to be making daily (slow) progress (while getting a bloody nose).
And as they used to say....the difference between Russians and westerners is that Russians know their media lies to them.
It seems like this would be a question of what it also does: Enable use of other services by Russian forces, in accessing or compiling tactical data helping to kill civilians. There were already calls to disable Google Maps in the vicinity.
People don't change their beliefs so easily.
Nevertheless, it appears that many Russians know what is exactly happening. That's why they are actively sabotaging this war. Some are stalling their tanks, others surrender. This bloody war is completely unnecessary and will not end with Russia's victory. The world has changed and the attackers most likely will end being tried for war crimes in International Court. It is better to do nothing and remain alive and free.
I think you have to explain in more detail why they would surrender.
