What apps are teams using for irregular/spontaneous/frequent meetings?

Hi HN. Our small and fully remote team is looking for a better way to quickly tap team members for spontaneous meetings throughout the day. We've tried several apps this year but everything has too much friction to join and little visibility.

I'm aware not all teams want to operate this way, but we miss the days when a startup could all in the same room and it was easy to "turn around" and interact with your team. Our team moves quickly and we prefer to discuss things in person to hash them out.

Is anyone actually using things like https://gather.town ?

Slack for each one of them. Google Meet if we need video. Teams/Zoom when some clients/partners sets up the meeting and is using this.
