Code commit % rate at your company?

I bang on about Software Literacy as a concept a lot - that software is a new form of literacy just like writing itself is a technology, and I was wondering how to measure this. So some estimates are 40M programmers globally - which is 1/200 people globally (pretty low rate). But what about those nice middle class (western) companies most of us work in. What's your estimate of people who have for example, committed code to the company repo(s) in the past month?

Well, the probability that anyone whose job is software development has committed something in the past month is close to 1, IMHO. For everyone else in the company it's 0.
