What are some things to do when visiting Mountain View?

I'm thinking of moving to Mountain View and I'm coming to stay for a few weeks to test the waters and check out the area before I make that larger decision.A lot of the sites list what I assume are normal tourist traps but I'd like to maybe hear from some locals in terms of food and places to check out.I like outdoors activities and basically anything food wise except seafood if that helps. Musically I enjoy basically any genre. Happy to check out art and theater as well even though I'm largely an idiot in that area.Which is to say I'm largely open to most experiences if at least only once, so suggest away :)

You should take Caltrain to San Francisco and see if you enjoy the ride, Assuming you're not from the bay already.
Castro has a lot of really nice restaurants. I say that being from the Philly area and used to a nice food scene. The short time I lived in mtv I was impressed with all that. Shout out to sunny bowl near Google as well.
If you have a car, try taking the drive west to like half moon bay and see how you like it. The parks up behind Los Gatos/altos are also really pretty.
