Jobs for devs who are slow coders but great at conceptualizing?

I hate my job. I'm slow at coding, especially if it's highly abstracted (and I didn't write it), 5+ function chaining (and I didn't write it), and involves working on a small part of a bigger effort (output not well defined?).

What can I do? Where are the simpler jobs?

Few suggestions: - Apply for a more senior role - Better communication with leads - sounds like you are not being managed well - Documentation

If you are great at conceptualising and want a "simpler" job, potentially a solutions architect could be a nice fit.
