Would curing loneliness via AI and/or medication end the human race?

When I go to the grocery store, I use the old-fashioned checkout, not the self-checkout. Yeah, the self-checkout can be faster, but I'd rather interact with a human than with a machine.

And if you want to medicate me so that I think and feel differently, well... you'd have to imprison me first.

I need human contact, not just something to take care of me.

And, we didn't just have kids to have someone to take care of us. We had kids because we wanted kids. That human life was worthwhile, and so new humans were worthwhile.

I always thought star treks idea of the holodeck would lead to the end... I think just AR/VR might doing, combine that with AI or some goods meds, Yeah definitely can see that..
