Did you have your Google Account frozen?

Why? Did you have 2FA turned on? Advanced Protection? Did you appeal? How? Was it successful?

Yes, it was a backup account that I moved some of my earliest emails from ~20 years ago into. Stupidly I did not set up 2FA or link it to my primary account - I never used it for anything other than passive data storage, so the security concerns just didn't cross my mind.

One day I decided to browse some of those emails for nostalgia reasons. The pattern of opening emails one after another must have triggered something, because I got locked out during browsing. It's been months and it still won't let me in - I know the password, I've resurrected old hardware, no luck. It's all quite frustrating.

Can one appeal? I haven't figured out how. The one last strategy I haven't tried yet is reaching out to a Google employee.
