Any email platform that uses Markdown and is fully hot-keyed out?

Question

It's all there in the title. Really curious what some of you are excited about in the email department that allows for Markdown and has full keyboard shortcuts enabled.I'm still a Gmail user, though I do have the hotkeys turned on, and I love it. But, I just can't anymore with the text editor functions. And, also, Google....Also, side question: Anyone using "Markdown Here"? So if you know about markdown-here (I didn't know about it, slightly tempted to try it out within Thunderbird, after seeing your post) -- are there any shortcomings? Any reasons you ask for a "native-markdown" client instead of using this? Just interested.
