Do you bring it and why, or why not?
I typically want better equipment than the employer is prepared to pay for or otherwise arrange for, and since I already have a lot of personal equipment anyway for home use, I just bring in some of that for work use.
Keyboards, trackpads, monitors, Ethernet switches, docking station, etc….
The alternative is that I bring the work computer/laptop home (e.g., Corona), and plug it into all the gear I already have here.
I have recently gotten what should be a really good KVM switch, so that I can hook up four computers at once to the same keyboard, trackpad, and monitors, and then just switch back and forth between them as I like. But I haven’t tested it yet.
I've also brought my own keyboard sometimes, because the keyboards they have there are all just... so bad. It's a big clunky thing however so I've only done it 2-3 times. I've recently ordered my first mechanical keyboard, tenkeyless, so that should be more portable. I'll stay on top of whether I'm making too much noise, though.
