What do you use to prioritize tasks and minimize context switching?

Full night of sleep, big breakfast, hot coffee, clean desk. Wash the stink off you. Meditate for 20 minutes. Focus on the breath. Pay attention to how the mind wanders, but keep coming back to the breath. Time's up. Now shift the focus to the task.

I find that I can't minimize context switching. Instead I try to record my progress as I go so that nothing is lost.

I also try to make it easier to quickly refresh my focus when I return. This is automatic with word processors and graphic arts. Otherwise, keeping a log of progress and emerging issues helps.
