Is DRM the reason Amazon Prime don't have playback speed adjustment?

Amazon Prime Video maybe the only video website in the world that can't adjust playback speed. I suspect that it is because Amazon Prime require DRM module in browser, which will consume too much resources on poor hardware if have playback speed adjustment. Or is there any other reason?
