What's the best note taking app? (a new years resolution)

I'm looking to get my tasks and thoughts more organized this year and alleviate mental storage bandwidth and do a better job at creating lists, writing down my thoughts when I wake up / before bed, and general organization.What's the best note taking app, excluding built-in Apple Notes and Evernote? Fully Apple ecosystem user (iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro). Prefer handwriting (with Apple Pencil on iPad) but also would like typing support on macOS and devices when needed.Open to premium and paying solutions, prefer one-time though vs subscription. Thanks!
