Its been stated previously, but is anyone else's Gmail inbox spam filled

I've been getting a lot of spam routed into my inbox instead of directly to spam for a couple months now. Before then, I never ever had spam not route directly to the spam folder.

It's been very strange. Things have actually gotten a little bit better lately, but for several weeks I was receiving several spam messages a day, all routed to my inbox. They all appear to be a similar format too, they all have a little area at the bottom with a fake company address, fake unsubscribe, and the subject is always sent using unicode text instead of ascii.

WTF?

It was just a few for a while... now its litterally 90% of my inbox...

What Happened?

Of the 1-50 items in my inbox's first page, ~10 of them are valid emails... the rest are spam.

i have way more holiday fluff than i'd like, but its all from people i've bought stuff from in the last year.

pre xmas sales, merry xmas wishes, didn't get what you wanted? and im assuming more new years crap coming..

But nothing purely crap.
