How do I get a FB acc I made 10 years ago taken down?

I made a Facebook account when I was in middle school 10 years ago and have no idea what the password is. The only option for recovering the account is the password. The problem is this account has an embarrassing profile picture and likes/memes from 2010 and when you search my real name on Google it is the first result. This is harming my career and causing great mental stress. I’m considering changing my legal name because of it. Does anyone know if Facebook would sympathize with me and delete my first account (an almost blank account with only a few posts and pictures not touched since 2010) if I can prove my identity? Or should I just begin the legal process of changing my name?
