I wonder what technical reasons could there be? HN seems like a pretty straightforward site with valid html tags like `textarea`.
My only exposure to grammarly is YouTube ads, and I noticed they often show women struggling to write (I think 3/4 of their actors are female). Two theories:
- grammarly is subtly sexist
- most characters in ads are women
Anyway I never had an outlet for this thought so posting here
get rid of it!
