What are you un-learning?

Always optimizing for Scalability. We are often taught to design applications and systems that are scalable even when they don’t necessitate such design. This introduces unnecessary complexity that becomes more challenging to work around. I am slowly realizing that applications often reside on a spectrum of correctness vs scalability and it is up to the designer to select where within that spectrum they expect their application to be based on the problem being solved and the business requirements
