Why is this (gem-filled) pool hidden from HN readers?


The second-chance pool [0]. The most likely answer is kind of obvious, the mods seem to want natural selection to run its course, subject to manual adjustments here and there. Even so, I'd be grateful for a more comprehensive top bar menu.

Never seen this before! I started asking where to find features like that but clicked around first and found "lists" at the bottom

It isn't hidden. Dang made a whole thread about it not long ago[0].

Unfortunately this forum's minimalist design and ethos means that such things inevitably go unnoticed unless you happen to have been in the one thread where it was announced.

I do wish they would resort it by ascending number of comments, so stories with the least number of comments are on top, and automatically remove stories from the pool once they have traction.
