How do you format URLs that are printed on paper?

I'm wondering if HN has thoughts on how to format URLs printed on paper, and whether you think its necessary to differentiate them from surrounding text.Examples of formatting: blue color, underline, and I guess also whether you include the protocol or www.Finally, does the context (resume, wedding invite, advertisement) matter?

I usually do blue + underlined, with a footnote with the actual URL (preferably a short URL, but not a tinyURL or something controlled by a 3rd party that would expire eventually)
